OK, so Daley's animation was a bit dodgy (what flexibility! The ability to rotate his entire top section 360 degrees!!), but as with most of David Dunn's music, it was... emotional somehow. I liked David's music, although like most musicians at the time he was not credited in the games (for a long time people thought that this music was by Martin Galway, including me!). And the game was a lot of fun to play, and somehow more entertaining than the technically more proficient "Decathlon" by Activision. Go figure!

This arrangement is very simple: just the original (played in a nice "atmosphere voice" which is actually the Sid2MIDI default), cleaned up slightly, and with a choir added in the background. Perhaps I'll turn it into an orchestral suite sometime, but David's music was complete somehow... the same goes for the "Finders Keepers music".

The game that broke a million joysticks (and a thousand wrists to boot) had its fair share of unrealism (ie: 16 metre long jump, one frame torso spin animation?) but the one thing that sounded good for the game back in 1984 was the David Dunn title theme. While a very short tune, he used the filters well and provided a stirring start to a tiring game.
