The MPEG is a lot more... erm... rocking, than the MIDS, due to a much more upbeat rhythm. I prefer it, although the MIDIs try to capture the asthmatic nature of Mark Cooksey's drums.

Wait until you hear the version Mark put together for the "Back in Time 2" CD. When we finally release it that is. Oh, what a day that will be!

The word 'classic' is much overused in computer gaming. However, this game was so in every sense of the word. What made it more so was the finest Mark Cooksey tune he ever wrote. The haunting initial part with the C64's slide giving a 'woooooooo' effect along with the dark moody bassline, that leads into the atmosperic faster main part, with deliberately off-key drums everywhere (some trying to emulate the Hubbard style) and the whine-led main voice with lots of vibrato working overtime to get the dramatic feel just right. And every time you fell to your death in this game, you knew somehow that this is what the music wanted you to do...
