Gobots. Or, if you prefer, the "Defender of the Crown" intro on the cracked Eaglesoft version. Oddly, more people probably heard the cracked rip than played the Gobots game. Which was probably just as well. I like the music, with its odd tempo change in the middle to trip up your playalong keyboardist. But sorry, Tony, this doesn't rank amongst your best game accomplishments. Nice logo though.

The toys were an obvious clone of those other robots in disguise, Transformers. However, they succeeded in having a better C64 game and music. Ben Daglish attempted an atmospheric, almost cinematic film to this tune, and very nearly succeeded in making it. The intro has a peaceful background instrument and main voice, and then as soon as it changes to the main tune, all hell breaks loose with a return to Daglish's normal voices and bassline. However, as it suits the panic-led feel of the original theme, this is no bad thing.
