Amazing game. One of the first things about this game that I remember is that it existed for a lot longer on the Spectrum than the C64. This was the first really great game produced by System 3: the first of many, thanks to their use of one of the most talented programmers of the age: Archer Maclean, author of Dropzone.
Rob's wonderful music score is heavily influenced by "Merry Christmas
Mr Lawrence", and is none the worse for it. My rendition is more ornate than the
original, to try for a more Japanese feel. I love the second part of the piece, which gets
into some serious funky soloing. Marvellous stuff, and it made getting to black belt all
the more worthwhile.
