System 3. They produced amazing games consistently, and hired the best musical talent, having used virtually everyone except Galway and Whittaker at some point. Their latest release is "Constructor", which has some code in it somewhere from Chris Butler. Strange but true! (Chris Butler is now writing Playstation games for another company).
The MIDI themes here come from "Cryogenic Emotions". All Hail! The Level 1 Last Ninja theme is a masterpiece of oriental atmospheria, and the MPEG from me you can download is a dance mix - well, sort of. Be vewy quiet... I'm hunting wabbits...
Yes, System 3 are planning a Last Ninja 4: but I'll believe it when I see it on sale... also, Benn still owns the rights to the music, so if they reuse it, they owe him money.. hehe...
A mention here to Tony Lees, the oft-overlooked "other-half" of the Last Ninja duo, who turned in some stirring stuff...:)

The series of games that inspired a lot of
others (and the great 'Tomb Raider' series, note) and set a lot of great standards in C64
gaming. The Ben Daglish and Anthony Lees soundtrack is suitably stirring, with the first
level loader and main theme setting the scene really well. The first level loader has some
superb Oriental instruments and has the right tempo to get you relaxed for the challenge
ahead, and the first level theme itself is a suitably tense affair, with a fast background
Oriental voice tied to a pleasing vibrato main. It made you recall those fond childhood
memories of the great TV programme 'Monkey' with renewed zest.
