"Savaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaage" - Jeroen Tel, possibly referring to my remixes of his stuff
I really was impressed by every aspect of this game. The initial title
music had me sitting in stunned silence, as did the music for the Amiga version
(completely different). I loved the game too, my particular favourite being the 3D
pillars, which was like a better version of Space Harrier. The MPEG presented here, I call
"Savage Savaged": it's a dance interpretation. Go on, risk it!

An ambitious Firebird three part game, and as
the main hero was supposed to be quite tough and 'hard', what we needed was a powerhouse
intro theme. And this is exactly what we got. Jeroen Tel's erstwhile efforts are suitably
rewarding, with the samples yelling 'Savage! Savage! Ooooooooohhhhhaaaaa!' along with a
powerhouse bass and main drum driving you along, plus a filtered main voice that sounded
just right to compliment the whole thing, and so you would be ready with clenched fist in
joystick, ready to go. Hard to believe this originally surfaced as a demo tune sampling a
Dutch comedian. Koud he, Jeroen?
