What's this? An original game? Surely not?
Yes, an original game, and a soundtrack I tend to think of as being one of Rob's "second phase" pieces (along with I-Ball, Bangkok Knights, Thundercats and others). This phase classification is mostly due to the increasing tendency for involved drum and snare tracks, and drums which were less sharp and more rounded than his previous work. A nice piece, with some nifty ideas, although I get the feeling that Rob found that he needed to put in more padding than usual in this one, structurally speaking. I still love that melody, though.
This game, along with Lightforce, had unmistakeably distinct graphics: one
mark of quality software.
