Back home The year of Picnic

For Cadbury this year is the year of Picnic.

Picnic is one of the world's most popular snack bars and one of the best-known Cadbury products. It consists of caramel, peanuts, toasted cereal, raisins and crispy wafer covered in milk chocolate. Nobody makes similar-tasting snack bars. The traditional Picnic weights 40g and is hermetically packed.

In the 60s Picnic was a chocolate hit in Britain. Later it won the markets in Egypt, Australia and Canada. Now it enjoys great popularity in Poland. Cadbury wants Picnic to become a number one snack bar in our country by the end of the year.

The '125% of standard Picnic' promotional campaign began early in April and lasted until the end of June. After Easter the materials advertising the new, longer Picnic appeared in points of sale (posters, boards and toppers placed on the top of display racks). At the beginning of May an advertising campaign was launched on TV (TVP and Polsat) and radio (RMF FM). Although now a Picnic bar weights 50g, its price has not changed. Since the beginning of the promotion a 125-per cent rise of Picnic sales has been recorded.
