Information on the museum


The museum in the Wawel Royal Castle is a historical residence in character.

Its primary task is to revive the past of Wawel in its manifold aspects and

to emphasize its vital role in the national culture. In addition

to accumulating and exhibiting its collections, the museum conducts

conservation work and scholarly research as well as publishing and education activities.
